A: Both D.O.’s & M.D.’s complete four years of Medical School. After Medical School, both M.D.’s & D.O’s complete Residency Internship’s side by side. This could last up to 7 years. Upon completion, they can choose to practice in any specialty are of medicine. However, 65% of D.O.’s go into Primary Care. Together, D.O’s & M.D.’s enhance our American healthcare system.
