Dr. Lisa Davidson

Dr. Lisa Davidson was born in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated from the UCHSC-Rose Family Medicine Residency and has been practicing in Denver since 1997. She enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine, and has a special interest in women’s health, as well as weight management. Her philosophy of practice focuses on health education and disease prevention. Dr. Davidson feels it’s important that patients feel like part of the team when making health care decisions. She identifies her ability to stay on time during the day as a valuable asset to her busy patients. Dr. Davidson has participated in peer reviews of physicians across the country to insure they maintain a high standard of medical care. Lisa is an Assistant Faculty member at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Lisa was also chosen for the Patients Choice Award in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Lisa also was awarded 5280's "Top Doc" award in 2010. On a personal note, Lisa is married and has two young children that keep her on her toes.

Dr. Amy Cook

Dr. Amy Cook is a rare Denver native. After leaving the state for her undergraduate education at North Carolina State University, she returned to her home state of Colorado for medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She then completed her Family Medicine residency training at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital. Dr. Cook became a Family Medicine physician because she enjoys caring for the whole patient and the whole family throughout the spectrum of life. She thrives on the diversity Family Medicine offers as a specialty. Although she has a particular interest in women's health and pediatrics, she also enjoys caring for other members of the family and a variety of different medical issues. She values the importance of listening to her patients' concerns with empathy and compassion, appreciates the emotional aspects of her patients' health, and believes that establishing strong and lasting physician/patient relationships is the key to providing quality care for her patients. Dr. Cook believes wellness starts with prevention and knowledge and thus tries to incorporate preventative medicine and health education into every patient visit. She also speaks Spanish and loves caring for Spanish speaking patients and patients of various different cultures and ethnicities. Dr. Cook lives here in Lowy with her husband and two young children. They enjoy spending their free time in the Colorado outdoors running, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, camping, backpacking, and hiking.

Melissa Jones, OTR, MSW, PA-C

Melissa Jones, OTR, MSW, PA-C was born in Leavenworth, Kansas. She attended the University of Kansas where she received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy. She relocated to Pueblo, CO, and worked as an OT at the Colorado State Hospital. While there, she attended the University of Denver and received a Masters in Social Work. After moving to Denver, she worked with adolescents, adults and the geriatric population at various psychiatric facilities. She then graduated from the UCHSC Physician Assistant program. She has been working in Family Medicine since 1996 and also serves as an expert witness in medical malpractice cases. She is married and loves cycling and Jayhawk basketball. Melissa also enjoys volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and events like the 9News Health Fair.
